A website project means any website the license is activated on - whether it is launched, unfinished, or later discontinued. Licenses are project-based and can’t be transferred to or reused for another project. Local development sites (e.g. with Local) don’t count toward your project limit.

Yes. With AI Mode, Claude or Codex can turn a Figma Dev Mode design into a custom element for Lay Theme. You can insert it into the Gridder and manage the content in Lay.
AI Mode starts with your own design instead of a predefined template or component. It creates something specifically for your design while keeping the content editable in Lay Theme. You can use custom-built elements together with normal Lay Theme layouts.
No. AI Mode is completely optional. You can build your entire website with the Gridder, or use AI Mode only for the parts that need something more custom.
Squarespace, Framer and Wix charge you every month forever. Lay Theme is a one-time purchase. After that, you only pay for webhosting.
Over 5 years, building one portfolio website costs about €195 with Lay Theme, including Netcup webhosting, compared to about €900 with Squarespace Basic or €1,680 with Framer Pro. The longer you run your website, the bigger the difference.
Your website stays under your control. You can move it to any webhost at any time, install any WordPress plugin and modify the code. A website built with Squarespace, Framer or Wix stays inside their platform. Moving it somewhere else can be difficult or impossible.
After your purchase you will receive an email with the invoice attached.
