How to Install

Download the zip file after your purchase, then follow these steps:

  • Log in to your WordPress admin area at “http://yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/”
  • Go to “Plugins” → “Add New”
  • At the top click “Upload Plugin”
  • Upload the .zip file and click on “Install Now”
  • Afterwards click “Activate Plugin”

How to Use

Create a Text element in the Gridder, write a text, select it and click the Insert/edit link button in the editor toolbar:

The Edit Link modal opens. Click Set Hover Image or Video to attach a hover asset to your selection (videos are supported in addition to images now):

You don't need an actual link to use the hover image — leave the URL empty and just attach a hover asset. The text on the page will trigger the hover image without becoming a clickable link. The Imagehover Settings accordion underneath lets you override the global settings (size, position, timing) for this one text.

Image Hover Options

After you install the Addon, find the global settings under Lay Options → Imagehover Addon. The page is split into six numbered sections that walk you from trigger → position → sizing → appearance → movement → behavior:

  • Show image on: hover, scroll, or both
  • Scroll trigger Y — Desktop / Phone (when scroll-triggered)

  • Position when shown on hover — Follow Mouse X / Follow Mouse XY / Stick to Link / Fixed and Centered
  • Position when shown on scroll
  • Horizontal and Vertical placement
  • Space between text & image; space below cursor
  • Keep image inside viewport
  • 3. Sizing & Layout
  • Widths and Heights can be set separately for Desktop, Tablet and Phone
  • 4. Appearance
  • Transition (fade-in on first show, then snappy switches)
  • Layer — image below or on top of other elements (separate for Desktop/Tablet and Phone)

  • Use float movement + Float strength + Float damping
