Fixed Header

Fixed Header lets you use a normal Lay Theme page as fixed content that stays on top of the website while visitors scroll.

Activate Fixed Header

Enable Fixed Header in Lay Options → Extra Features. Then open Lay Options → Fixed Header.

Choose a Header Page

Create a normal page and design your header in the Gridder. Then select that page in Choose a Page as Header.

  • Choose a Page as Header renders the selected page as the fixed header.
  • Header Position places the fixed header at the top, center or bottom of the viewport.
  • Make Background Transparent makes the selected page's grid background transparent, so only its content sits above the website.
  • Hide on Phone disables the fixed header on phone viewports.

How it behaves

The fixed header overlays the website and stays fixed while the page scrolls. Links inside the header remain clickable. Because the header sits above page content, keep the selected header page lightweight and check the result on desktop and phone.
