Page Templates

Page Templates let you save complete Gridder layouts and reuse them as a starting point on other pages, projects or news posts.

A Page Template is not a public page on your website. It is a reusable Gridder layout stored in the WordPress admin.

Enable Page Templates

Go to Lay Options → Extra Features and enable Page Templates. After saving, a Page Templates item appears under Lay Options in the WordPress admin sidebar.

Create a Page Template

Open Lay Options → Page Templates and click Add New Page Template. Give it a title and build the layout in the Gridder just like you would build a normal page.

You can add rows, elements, backgrounds, phone layouts and other Gridder settings. Save the template when the reusable layout is ready.

Use a Page Template

When Page Templates are active, the Gridder toolbar shows a Page Templates button. Click it while editing a page, project or news post.

What gets copied

  • Desktop layout — rows, elements, row settings and element settings from the template.
  • Custom Phone Layout — copied too when Custom Phone Layouts are active and the template has a phone layout.
  • The current layout is replaced — use Page Templates before building a page, or make sure the current layout can be overwritten.
