Page Settings

Page Settings are overrides for one layout. Use them when a single page needs different title, menu, burger or menu bar colors, or when you want to hide the site title, menu or footer on that page.

These settings are useful for pages with strong cover images, custom backgrounds or layouts that should feel more like a standalone page.

Where to find it

Open a page, project, news post or another layout in the Gridder and click Page Settings above the canvas.

The Page Settings button is next to Page Templates and CSS

Page specific CSS

The CSS dropdown in the same Gridder header contains page-specific CSS editors.

Use the CSS dropdown for CSS that belongs to the current layout

  • Edit CSS adds CSS for this page only.
  • Edit Desktop CSS adds CSS inside the desktop media query.
  • Edit Phone CSS adds CSS inside the phone media query.

Changes from these editors are saved when you update the page. If you want to write global CSS for the whole website, go to Lay Options → Custom CSS & HTML instead.

Desktop Colors

Use Desktop Colors to override colors on desktop for this page only. A color is only used when its checkbox is enabled.

You can set page-specific colors for Site Title, Site Title Mouseover, Menu, Menu Mouseover and Menu Bar. If Page Overlays are active, Page Overlay Burger appears here too.

Enable a checkbox, then choose the color that should override the global style

Phone Colors

Phone Colors works the same way for the phone layout. You can override the phone site title, phone menu, phone menu bar, Page Overlay burger and mobile menu burger colors for this page.

This helps when the desktop layout and phone layout use different backgrounds and need different navigation colors.

Show / Hide

Use Show / Hide to hide global layout parts on this page. You can hide the site title, menu and footer.

If your site uses multiple menus, extra checkboxes for the additional menus can appear here. Click Ok to save the page settings.
