Horizontal Scroll

Horizontal Scroll turns projects, pages or category overview pages into layouts that move sideways on the frontend.

Activate Horizontal Scroll

First enable Horizontal Scroll in Lay Options → Extra Features. After that, a new Horizontal Scroll page appears under Lay Options.

Settings

Use the Horizontal Scroll settings page to decide where sideways scrolling should be active. You can set it separately for Projects, Pages and Categories.

Horizontal Scroll settings in Lay Options
  • Active for all enables Horizontal Scroll for every item of that type.
  • Add an option to Lay Settings adds a checkbox to each editor, so you can decide per project or page.
  • Off for all keeps normal vertical scrolling for that type.
  • Disable for Phone keeps phone viewports vertical. Uncheck it only when you use Custom Phone Layouts and want sideways scrolling on phones too.
  • Show Horizontal Scrollbar shows the browser's horizontal scrollbar on the frontend.

Individual Pages and Projects

If you choose the individual setting for pages or projects, open the editor and use the Horizontal Scroll checkbox in Lay Settings.

Compatibility

Horizontal Scroll is disabled automatically on pages that use Scroll Slider, Fullscreen Slider or Cover Feature.

This feature is different from Horizontal Grid. Horizontal Grid is only an editing guide in the Gridder; Horizontal Scroll changes how the finished page scrolls on the frontend.
